Grinder History

In the last few years there has been a tremendous need from the market for VKI to build bean-to-cup equipment.
VKI has always resisted this trend until now. Our hesitation stemmed from the need to rapidly deliver a large amount of coffee to the brewer. We needed a grinder that would grind a high volume of coffee in very little time, without affecting the equipment reliability, taste and grain particle size. It is a well known fact that grinding at high speeds generates heat which negatively affects coffee grounds and impacts taste.

Variety
Prior to the Latte Lounge, the
current portfolio of equipment could only offer from one to eight (on average)
different choices of beverages. With
some new packet systems today these choices can offer up to fifteen different
beverages. The Latte Lounge offers 62
different based beverages and if we factor in cup sizes and strengths, this
number is well over 400. More
importantly to Van Houtte customers, the Latte Lounge can deliver quality house
beverages to capture the end user. It
represents the perfect solution to keeping your employees at their place of
work as opposed to off site coffee source.

All by-product and waste produced by
the machine while delivering beverages is 100% biodegradable.

The facts are:
The Latte Lounge takes up the least
amount of counter space, almost 50% less than a Keurig or Flavia unit. Please remember that in most cases, a Keurig
and a Flavia system comes with a K-cup or packet rack which, when factored in,
are wider systems than a Latte Lounge.

Latte Lounge delivers the lowest cost per cup and produces the highest quality
beverage in comparison to any other piece of competitive equipment.
